Our Junior Leader In Training (jLIT) program is modeled after our high school LIT program, but is tailored to middle school participants. These young leaders will be given the basics in what it means to be a transformative leader. Our middle school-ers spend the summer learning about the basics of Christian leadership and how to be effective agents of transformation.
Our middle school-ers spend a week of the summer with Grand Rapids Area Service Projects (GRASP) giving back to the community while learning about our calling to be servant leaders. They go through vision and goal setting sessions as they process what their own leadership potential is, and what their unique leadership capabilities are.
A week up at camp allows our jLITs to put into use what they've learned throughout the summer where they serve as peer leaders at a designated session of camp.
